Team Dynamics in Trouble? How Motivational Awareness Can Help

It doesn’t matter how much talent is on a team – if the players can’t work together effectively, efficiency is out the window. Misunderstandings, resentment, cliques, and rivalries can quickly undermine any momentum a team is building. In an increasingly complex professional landscape, how do we create the conditions for a cohesive, productive – even happy – team?

The answer may lie in motivation: that is, teammates who understand what drives and drains them, and who respect differences in what drives or drains others. Starting with intentional work toward self-awareness, we can coach individuals to more easily recognize their own biases. We can build on that to create a culture of motivational transparency, where different approaches are not only understood, but embraced. In this webinar, we will explore:

  • What motivation really is, and how it impacts every aspect of our working relationships
  • The stories people tell themselves – and what can go wrong when narratives conflict
  • The limits of recognizing our own motivations and biases
  • Tools to help us reveal individual motivations
  • A real-world case study of a team who used motivational transparency to build better working relationships
